The Trevenque Peak is one of the most spectacular peaks in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. The mountain is steep on both sides, but there are several ways up to it’s summit of 2079m

Ascend the peak from Collado Sevilla on the well worn track and the arid badlands in the valley of Las Arenales. Then it’s a climb up to the summit by-passing incredible pinnacles and rock formations. It is steep, but on a simple path where the hands are not really required. The summit is on a steep sided pinnacle with views in all directions as the mountain is isolated.

A return is made initially the same way and then by using the undulating ridge with views to the Cerro Huenes group. This gives better views and is more interesting than the dirt track running alongside.

On our half day tour of today we crossed the sandy gorge below the Trevenque.

THE OFFICIAL DELE EXAMS

The language test DELE is one of the exams you need to take to be eligible for the Spanish citizenship. The Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (Diploma De Español Como Lengua Extranjera) contains the basics of a foreign language test, including:

• Reading and writing skills.
  This section consists of the two modules reading and comprehension.
• Written expression & interaction.

Both of these modules last approximately 60 minutes. The first module contains five practical tasks, and the second module has two tasks.

• Language skills.
  This section consists of listening comprehension, oral expression and interaction. The first module is 35 minutes long and contains five practical tasks, and the second module lasts 15 minutes, with no tasks to complete.

The DELE A2 exam is the basic level needed for a successful Spanish citizenship application. 

The maximum number of points you can get in the DELE A2 language test is 100 points. To pass the test, you need to get 60 points in total – 30 points in Reading and Writing Skills, and 30 points in Speaking Skills.

The first examination date for the DELE A2 exams at our school is the 17.02.2023!

In addition to the many religious festivals in Spain, there are also those dedicated to worldly things. For example, the Tango Festival in Granada, which is dedicated to tango music and dance. It has been held every March since 1988 for a whole week.

In addition to live music and dance performances, there are also dance courses, readings, lectures, exhibitions, film evenings and many other cultural highlights. Performances by international tango stars in Granada are not uncommon this week.

Tango is presented as an urban culture and you can get a good idea of what tango means in the events and courses mentioned. The Argentine tango composer Enrique Discépolo once said it was “a sad thought that you can dance to”. But the tango festival in Granada isn't really that sad. The focus of the event is on enjoying music, partying and dancing and celebrating music together.

You can experience the individual dance performances either in the stages and theaters (especially the theater "Isabel La Católica") or on the numerous squares in Granada. Whether accompanied by the piano or the double bass, by the guitar, violin or bandoneon - the tango will sweep you away if it hasn't already done so.

One more year the Instituto Cervantes has published the new manual to prepare for the CCSE exams.

This new manual has 25% of new questions compared to the CCSE manual of 2022. This new content and questions are those that will be included in all the CCSE tests that are already arranged throughout the next year 2023.

This week we will show you a great hike through a carved out river gorge, rocky outcroppings, and olive groves! In the first half of the trail when hiking along the river there are a few points that you have to duck under or carefully tiptoe around but they're not exposed at any point to a big fall or cliff and there are human made handles put into a lot of the spots.
