Combine a Spanish course in the morning with guided hiking tours during the afternoons. For those thinking of learning Spanish and hiking in Andalusia the area around Granada often ranks highly as a choice of venues. One of the main attractions of this beautiful area is the wide variety of landscapes that are available within a very short distance. The mountainous Alpujarras and Sierra Nevada National Park offer wonderful views around almost every corner. Here you can select from a wide range of walking challenges from very easy to extremely difficult.

Spanish course with cultural activities from 12.08. to 18.08.2013

After the Spanish lessons in the morning, we will organize an afternoon trip to Güejar Sierra, a village inside the Sierra Nevada National Park.

The Lavaderos de la Reina walk is a good option, if you want to go trekking in summer.
Lavaderos de la Reina is an area of lush meadows fed by mountain springs at 2500m, near Güejar Sierra Village. The best time to visit is in early summer, when the melting snow feeds the gushing streams. The first part of the route also gives some great views of the Sierra Nevada.
It is a 6 hours walk, but not particularly difficult, although there is a steady climb at the beginning, and you also need to clamber down some rocks beside the waterfall. There are no signs, but the route is relatively easy to follow.
The Lavaderos are at their most beautiful when the snow is melting around May/June, but it is possible to do the walk in summer and early autumn as well.
All year round we offer Spanish course programmes for parents and children in Granada!
