What are the SIELE tests like?

Part 1: Reading comprehension
This test is composed of 5 tasks with a total of 38 questions. The candidate must read various texts of different levels of complexity and answer questions about them. There is a time limit of 60 minutes to complete the test. The test is corrected automatically and immediately, with a maximum of 250 points.

Part 2: Listening comprehension
There are 6 tasks in this test with a total of 38 questions.The candidate must listen to a variety of different recordings (conversations, conferences etc.) with different levels of complexity and then answer questions about the recordings. The maximum time to complete the test is 55 minutes. Correction is automatic and immediate with a possible maximum of 250 points.

Part 3: Written interaction and expression
This test consists of 2 tasks where the candidate must write two texts according to the instructions and texts provided. The test lasts for a maximum of 50 minutes and is worth a total of 250 points. The content of the test is copied and later evaluated by expert examiners at SIELE.

Part 4: Oral interaction and expression
There are a total of 5 tasks in this test. You will listen to a variety of questions which are recorded. You must also give two spoken presentations. The maximum time to complete the test is 15 minutes, with a total value of 250 points. The contents of this test are recorded and subsequently evaluated by expert examiners at SIELE.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Tuition: we are not charging cancellation fees on tuition (with no notice period prior to arrival). School apartments/homestay accommodation: we are not charging cancellation fees (with no notice period prior to arrival).

IN-SCHOOL STUDENTS
Tuition: the school may substitute completely or partially, the face-to-face classes for classes held in a virtual classroom environment, without implying any modification in the price of the course. If students don't wish online classes, they will be credited with a voucher for any complete unused weeks to be used for the same course at another date. We refund part of the paid amount, if a students decides to shorten the programme or reduce the number of lessons.

School apartments/homestay accommodation: if a student decides to leave the acommodation, already paid weeks will be refunded.

Our school will ensure at all times that face-to-face classes are taught, with strict subjection and in compliance with the measures that the Public Authorities have ordered, regarding prevention and hygiene, in relation to the spread and contagion of the COVID-19 virus.

These terms and conditions are valid until further notice.

We will serve the public for new registrations by phone, WhatsApp, email and during our reduced office hours in June from Monday to Friday from 10.00 and 13.00 h.

Our Spanish language school in Granada is different and it is a good time to show this by coming out of this situation with greater enthusiasm and commitment to a cooperative business project that puts the stability of its workers and the quality of teaching up front.

For those thinking of learning Spanish in Granada and hiking in the surroundings, the area around Granada often ranks highly as a choice of venues. One of the main attractions is the wide variety of landscapes that are available within a very short distance. It is an ideal area for combining a Spanish course with walking holidays.

The Sierra Nevada National Park and a lot of different natural parks offer wonderful views around almost every corner. Here you can select from a wide range of walking challenges from very easy to extremely difficult. In this area, especially in spring, there is an abundance of flora including vibrant indigenous flowers as well as rare orchids. The groves of olive, almond, orange and lemon trees offer a wide variety of new and ancient trees, some of them hundreds of years old. All year round our school offers guided walks in the afternoons.

In addition to a rich multicultural history, the Alhambra and other monuments, a student-driven nightlife, hiking in the nearby Sierra Nevada National Park offers a break from urban citylife. Spring is an excellent time for trekking tours. Enjoy the pale pink almond flowers, the snow covered peaks of Sierra Nevada and the mild sunny weather.

This March, 2020, more than 60 professionals from the sector TEACHING SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE in Spain met at the annual convention organized by FEDELE, held in Ronda on March 5-7 at the Reina Victoria Hotel.

During the convention the sector report of FEDELE was presented, a document that collects with very complete data the trends in the sector of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

In addition, the 20th anniversary of the federation was celebrated with the awards given to those schools that have stood out throughout the history of FEDELE for their commitment and their work for the association.

Different current issues that affect the Spanish teaching sector and the FEDELE schools were also discussed. Participants had the opportunity to discuss in groups their way of seeing the Spanish teaching sector in Spain and the trends.

Member schools also established a line of work for 2020/2021 on the issues that affect the Spanish teaching sector such as international market trends.

Due to the high demand we are going to offer 3 exam dates per week at our school. You can sit the SIELE exam on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 15.00 to 18.00 h.
