We're here to help you with our new flexible policies designed to give you complete confidence when you book. To give you peace of mind when booking a course with us, we want to provide you with as much flexibility as possible. For our adult students, we are revising our policies as follows:

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Tuition: we are not charging cancellation fees on tuition (with no notice period prior to arrival). School apartments/homestay accommodation: we are not charging cancellation fees (with no notice period prior to arrival).

IN-SCHOOL STUDENTS
Tuition: the school may substitute completely or partially, the face-to-face classes for classes held in a virtual classroom environment, without implying any modification in the price of the course. If students don't wish online classes, they will be credited with a voucher for any complete unused weeks to be used for the same course at another date. We refund part of the paid amount, if a students decides to shorten the programme or reduce the number of lessons.

School apartments/homestay accommodation: if a student decides to leave the acommodation, already paid weeks will be refunded.

Our school will ensure at all times that face-to-face classes are taught, with strict subjection and in compliance with the measures that the Public Authorities have ordered, regarding prevention and hygiene, in relation to the spread and contagion of the COVID-19 virus.

These terms and conditions are valid until further notice.

We will serve the public for new registrations by phone, WhatsApp, email and during our reduced office hours in June from Monday to Friday from 10.00 and 13.00 h.

Our Spanish language school in Granada is different and it is a good time to show this by coming out of this situation with greater enthusiasm and commitment to a cooperative business project that puts the stability of its workers and the quality of teaching up front.

This March, 2020, more than 60 professionals from the sector TEACHING SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE in Spain met at the annual convention organized by FEDELE, held in Ronda on March 5-7 at the Reina Victoria Hotel.

During the convention the sector report of FEDELE was presented, a document that collects with very complete data the trends in the sector of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

In addition, the 20th anniversary of the federation was celebrated with the awards given to those schools that have stood out throughout the history of FEDELE for their commitment and their work for the association.

Different current issues that affect the Spanish teaching sector and the FEDELE schools were also discussed. Participants had the opportunity to discuss in groups their way of seeing the Spanish teaching sector in Spain and the trends.

Member schools also established a line of work for 2020/2021 on the issues that affect the Spanish teaching sector such as international market trends.

Due to the high demand we are going to offer 3 exam dates per week at our school. You can sit the SIELE exam on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 15.00 to 18.00 h.

Choose the test SIELE GLOBAL:

• Select Spain as the country where you want to take the test. Click on select.
• Choose the city, the date and the exam center where you want to take the test. In exam centers, select Granada.
• Search for Escuela Montalbán and choose the day and the time when you want to do the test. We offer exam sessions every Wednesday.
• Complete the payment and add your personal details.
• Now you are registered to take the SIELE GLOBAL test at our school.

What is SIELE?
SIELE is the International Assessment Service for the Spanish Language, promoted by the Spanish Instituto Cervantes, the University of Mexico, the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires.

SIELE certifies the proficiency of the Spanish language with four tests: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and oral expression and interaction based on the levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1).

The duration of the tests is as follows:

Reading comprehension: 60 minutes

Listening comprehension: 55 minutes

Written expression and interaction: 50 minutes

Oral expression and interaction: 15-20 minutes

The SIELE exam is managed entirely electronically. The registration, the exam, information of the results and  the certification report goes via Internet. Candidates obtain the results and the certificate within a maximum term of three weeks.

Where and when do I sit the SIELE exam?
The full exam will be completed electronically at our school. We will make available to the candidate's the required computer resources and will supervise the development of the exam.

What is the CCSE test?

• The PRUEBA CCSE certifies the constitutional and sociocultural knowledge of the candidates.
• It is a requirement in ordsr to obtain the Spanish nationality
• It is aimed to those interested in obtaining Spanish nationality, either because of their special relationship with the country (Sefardies) or because of their residence in Spain
• This is a face to face test.
• The test has 60% of constitutional content and 40% of sociocultural content.
• There are 25 closed-ended questions.
• The duration of the test is 45 minutes. The next exam will be held on the 25.07.2019 at 18.00h in the afternoon. The tests always take place the last Thursday of the month, except in December and August.
• The test will qualify as APT or NOT APT (Apt: have surpassed 60% of the questions) and the candidates have TWO opportunities to do it.

Where can I take the test?
• The test can be done in any of the examination centers of the Instituto Cervantes in Spain.
• Escuela Montalbán is one of those centers.

Representatives of Tandem International language schools in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Chile met this year in Milan for their annual international meeting.

The meeting took place from 16 to 19 of May 2019 and was hosted by Il Centro, our Tandem Italian school in Milan. From here big THANKS to Il Centro for the perfect organisation!

The meetings are always held in one of the cities that are part of the network. During the meetings the schools discuss the most important aspects about the work of the association, as well as the issues that affects each school individually. Our network focus on the mutual support and collaboration that characterizes us, in order to constantly improve the progress of each school and of the whole group.

Our next Plenum session will be held in Cologne, Germany in May 2020.
