This week our school has offered a nice event for teachers and staff.

Hammam Al-Andalus, the Arabic baths in Granada, invited all their partners to visit the exhibition #INGOYA at the Granada Congress Palace. The event finished with wine and tapas :). From here a big thank to our colleagues from the Hammam.

The exhibtion includes more than 1,000 images on 35 screens, each of them five metres high, synchronised to music by Spanish classical masters such as Albeniz, Falla, Granados or Boccherini.

This is the main event of the cultural calendar in Granada this year, and once it leaves Granada, it will travel to Madrid and other cities in Spain before going beyond national borders.

What is Erasmus+?

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The new Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027 will create opportunities for 10 million people of all ages and backgrounds. It will also support the green and digital transitions, accelerating Europe's recovery. It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. This is nearly double the funding compared to its predecessor programme (2014-2020).

The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people's participation in democratic life.

It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The programme also

• Implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027

The DELE exams are official qualifications certifying the degree of competence and mastery of Spanish granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. Taking the exams will allow you to have a diploma certifying your mastery of the language.

The DELE A2 exam and CCSE are the two nationality tests that any foreigner must pass in order to be granted nationality in Spain. They are two different exams that will define whether or not you are eligible for a Spanish passport, based on your level of Spanish (language) and knowledge of the country.

This diploma certifies that the candidate can understand commonly used, everyday phrases and expressions related to areas of experience especially relevant to them (basic information about themselves and their families, shopping, places of interest, work, etc.).

What you should know!

• Understand basic expressions about daily activities.
• Produce simple sentences concerning everyday needs and actions.
• Describe your environment.
• Talk about your past, your family life, your most common routines.

What is the PRUEBA CCSE?

The Spanish constitutional and sociocultural knowledge test (PRUEBA CCSE) is an exam created by the Instituto Cervantes which evaluates, via various means, the knowledge of the constitution and the social and cultural realities in Spain.

Passing this test is one of the requirements established by the law for people from any country in order to acquire the Spanish nationality.

Candidates of any nationality who are 18 years old and above and with legal capacity to act can sign up to take the exam.

Escuela Montalbán, in Granada, is a CCSE exam centre which is one of the selected institutions in Spain, recognised by the Instituto Cervantes to manage and supervise these exams.

What are the SIELE tests like?

Part 1: Reading comprehension
This test is composed of 5 tasks with a total of 38 questions. The candidate must read various texts of different levels of complexity and answer questions about them. There is a time limit of 60 minutes to complete the test. The test is corrected automatically and immediately, with a maximum of 250 points.

Part 2: Listening comprehension
There are 6 tasks in this test with a total of 38 questions.The candidate must listen to a variety of different recordings (conversations, conferences etc.) with different levels of complexity and then answer questions about the recordings. The maximum time to complete the test is 55 minutes. Correction is automatic and immediate with a possible maximum of 250 points.

Part 3: Written interaction and expression
This test consists of 2 tasks where the candidate must write two texts according to the instructions and texts provided. The test lasts for a maximum of 50 minutes and is worth a total of 250 points. The content of the test is copied and later evaluated by expert examiners at SIELE.

Part 4: Oral interaction and expression
There are a total of 5 tasks in this test. You will listen to a variety of questions which are recorded. You must also give two spoken presentations. The maximum time to complete the test is 15 minutes, with a total value of 250 points. The contents of this test are recorded and subsequently evaluated by expert examiners at SIELE.
