School Blog

El taller estuvo dirigido a profesores de español y tuvo lugar en nuestra escuela en Granada. Un total de 12 profesores de diferentes escuelas de español en Andalucía participaron en la actividad. El tema principal fue "El aprendizaje del léxico através de juegos"

44 students from IIS Astolfo Lunardi school in Brescia, Italy are currently
participating in our Spanish courses. The morning classes are complemented by an attractive activity programme which consists in guided visits to the Albaicín, the Alhambra and the Arabic bath. A Flamenco performance at the Sacromonte and a daytrip to the Costa Tropical are also included. All students are accommodated in host families who live in walking distance to our school.

We are all excited to be starting a New Year, with the usual school philosophy of new ideas and new ways of making Spanish language learning fun and stress free.

For those students who prefer a Hotel accommodation during their Spanish course with us:
Room Mate Leo is located in the commercial heart of Granada. The facade and interior have been fully renovated. Just round the corner are the most famous clothes stores, tapas bars, restaurants, the theatre. and the most important monuments are very close, too: the Alhambra, the Cathedral, the Royal Chapel (Capilla Real) making it a privileged place to enjoy the history and magic of Andalusia. Designed by the interior decorators Clara and Lorenzo del Castillo, there is a modern and original mix of colours and furnishings. Room Mate Leo has a touch of elegance and peace to it.

The hotel has 32 rooms in all, different in size and layout as well as in the views. They are divided into 2 categories, depending on the views: Standard and Executive. There is also a large terrace on the top floor from where one can enjoy all those spectacular views of the city of Granada and the Alhambra. The hotel also provides free Internet access.

Some adult students and a teenager group from the Bernhard-Strigel Gymnasium in Memmingen (Germany) joined the trip. We had a fantastic sunny day with 25º. We visited the famous Cathedral, the Real Alcázeres, the Giralda, the Juderia and the Plaza de España. And again special thank's to Juan and José. They were fantastic guides who impressed us with their knowledge of Muslim history and art.

It will take place from 22.10. to 29.10.2011. For further information and the programme visit the official website: www.filmfest-granada.com
We will visit many of the sessions together with our students.

We are all pleased to welcome you again in Granada! So, if you are planning your trips for next year, here we are! Our dates and fees for 2012 are now available and you can download the programme here.
