As every year in February, students from Comberton Village College in Cambridge participated in a Spanish course at our school. The Spanish lessons took place during the mornings. In the afternoons the students joined our cultural activities such as a visit to the Arabic bath, a guided visit to the old moorish quarter Albaicín, a guided visit to the Alhambra and a workshop about Andalusian culture at the Granada Science Park.

This year Greåker Videregående Skole, Halder Videregående Skole, Kirkeparken Videregående Skole, Frederik II Videregående Skole and Askim Videregående Skole from Norway have started a new project. In the future students from these schools will participate once a year in a Spanish course, complemented by cultural activities at Escuela Montalbán in Granada.

It's now, when the temperatures become more mild, that we feel like participating in these seasonal activities: Go out into the country and practice hiking in Sierra Nevada or enjoy a day on the beach.

Each year, the arrival of autumn fills the kitchens of Andalusia with flavours that are true delicacies for the palate. Dishes are made using chestnuts, wild mushrooms, quince and game, the raw ingredients of the season offering an array of succulent results when properly combined which help us to understand Andalusia in a whole new way.

Whether you have just a weekend or more time to explore the region, the activities on offer are as diverse as the region itself.

A Spanish course with 4 lessons of 45 minutes per day is complemented by day trips to the Costa Tropical, Córdoba and a guided visit to the Alhambra.

Hispania Airways will launch new scheduled flights from Granada on December 6 offering four weekly flights to Madrid as well as two weekly services each to Barcelona, London Gatwick, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Rome Fiumicino. Granada had lost in the past most of its international routes with the exception of a seasonal summer service to Paris Orly by Transavia.

A Spanish course with 4 lessons in the morning is complemented by different cultural activities, such as: trips to the beach, a guided visit to the Alhambra and to the old arabic quarter Albaicín, Flamenco at the Sacromonte and a visit to the Arabic bath with a relaxing massage.
