Our first Spanish Teacher Training course in 2014 is scheduled in April. The 1 or 2 weeks course will start on the 14.04.2014:

"Curso práctico de 1 y 2 semanas - perfeccionamiento y reciclaje para profesores NO-NATIVOS de español como lengua extranjera - Niveles C1/C2”

The aim of this programme is to offer non-native Spanish teachers the opportunity to update and perfect their knowledge of the Spanish language and to exchange experiences regarding methodological and pedagogical issues.

We understand that the current system of Comenius-Grundtvig grants will be replaced in May 2014 by the new European Programme Erasmus+, whereby teachers will be able to apply for funding to attend teacher training programmes in Spain and other European countries.

In due course information should be available from your National Agency.
 
As arrangements for obtaining European Union funding from May 2014 onwards are not at all clear, we strongly recommend taking advantage of the old Comenius-Grundtvig system before it ends.

Los candidatos pueden presentarse a los exámenes para la obtención de los niveles B1, B2 y C1.

El Instituto Cervantes ha abierto el plazo de inscripción para las pruebas de los Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera de la convocatoria de Agosto de 2013. La matrícula puede realizarse hasta el 26 de julio online en: Escuela Montalbán

Los exámenes se celebrarán el viernes día 23 de Agosto en Granada.

En esta convocatoria se ofrecen los niveles DELE B1, B2 y C1. Por primera vez se administrarán los nuevos formatos de examen para los niveles B1 y B2, adaptados al Marco común europeo de referencia.

La página http://nivelesb.diplomas.cervantes.es/ ofrece toda la información relevante sobre el nuevo formato de los exámenes para los Diplomas B1 y B2. En esa dirección se pueden consultar modelos de examen y guías para profesores.

Los DELE son títulos oficiales de español como lengua extranjera, poseen validez indefinida y son reconocidos internacionalmente. Existen ya más de 800 centros de examen en más de 100 países en todo el mundo.

The maximum length of each story is 140 characters, including spaces - like a tweet.  Submitted micro fiction has to be written in Spanish.
Our teacher team will choose the two best summertweets.  The winners will receive a free Spanish course at our school.

The contest starts on Monday, 01.07.2013 and finishes on Friday, 30.08.2013.

1st Prize:  a 2 weeks Spanish Standard course (20 lessons per week)
2nd Prize: a 1 week Spanish Standard course (20 lessons per week)
The winners can book the Spanish course during next year 2014.

Conditions:
- send your micro story to summertweet@escuela-montalban.com.
 - post your micro story on Twitter, mentioning @EsMONTALBAN with the hashtag  #summertweetcontest.
- our teacher team will choose the two best summertweets  among all those that have been sent.
- the winners will be notified by email or by private message in Twitter (you must be a follower of Escuela Montalbán).
- the participants allow the school to publish their summertweet on the Escuela Montalbán website and on the school social networks. The school will publish the micro stories with the name and country of the participants. The school will not use this information for any purpose other than the contest.
- Escuela Montalbán will not receive any economic  benefits from the texts and will not distribute or sell the texts or personal information to third parties.
- only one micro story per participant will be accepted.

Escuela Montalbán will not accept micro stories containing racist, sexist or discriminatory connotations or infringing the rights of third parties, stories containing advertising or which can be considerated spam. Moreover, the school may correct grammatical mistakes before publishing the micro story.

Escuela Montalbán no admitirá a concurso aquellos microrrelatos que contengan connotaciones racistas, sexistas o discriminatorias o que puedan atentar contra los derechos de terceros, ni aquellos que contengan publicidad o se puedan considerar spam. Asimismo, la escuela podrá corregir aquellos errores gramaticales que considere oportunos antes de publicar el microrrelato.

From 09.00 to 12.15 hrs students participated in Spanish grammar and conversation lessons on the level groups A2 / B1. The daily cultural programme was organized by the Austrian teachers themselves. They mainly visited the Alhambra and several performances of the International Festival of Music and Dance.

Their programme consisted in a Spanish course in the morning. Theses Spanish lessons were complemented by the following cultural activities during the afternoons:

- Experienced students and beginners had a horseback riding afternoon in Sierra Nevada National Park.
- In a cooking session at the Javier Vilchez cooking school students learned to prepare a Paella.
- In a Flamenco workshop they practiced the first steps of Flamenco dancing.
- A guided visit to the Alhambra with our guide Juan and a afternoon at Nerja beach closed the cultural programme.
