The International Granada Tango Festival

Indeed in the year of its inception (1988) it became a pioneer in Europe for the «Tango Festival» concept. 
Taking place in the month of March and stretching over five or more  nights, the Festival offers spectacular shows, live music, dance classes … where you can watch or take part … in Tango dancing, photographic exhibitions, poetry readings, cultural debates and much more. 

The Tango World´s top artists have performed in its shows: Juan Carlos Copes, Horacio Ferrer, Susana Rinaldi, Miguel Zotto y Milena Plebs, Roberto Goyeneche, Amelita Baltar, Los Dinzel, Osvaldo Pugliese, Néstor Marconi to mention just a few. A trademark of this Tango Festival is to celebrate all aspects of the Tango culture (instrumental Tango, Tango song and Tango dance) and to enjoy the eclectic mix of elements which gives tango its identity as an urban culture. This Festival´s programme includes nights of shows at Granada´s most established theatre «Teatro Isabel La Católica» with spectacular performances from the current Tango élite and classes.
