Flameno lessons in Granada at Escuela Montalbán: dancing - guitar - cajón

Students have the opportunity to participate in group classes at our Flamenco partner school or book private classes with a professional teacher at our school. All levels are taught using a combination of flamenco tablature and the recording of the lesson or parts thereof. Basic chord shapes, compás (rhythmic forms), scales, beginning falsetas (melodic riffs), advanced compás, and advanced falsetas are taught. Also basic flamenco guitar techniques such as arpeggios, alzapua (thumb technique), rasqueados (strumming) and picado are emphasized.



We also offer Flamenco Cajón lessons. All levels are taught by an percussionist. Studying the cajón is valuble experience for dancers, guitarists, and singers to help internalize Flamenco rhythms. Classes include work with posture, technique, embellishment concepts, and various palos. All lesons are private.
